Wannyi / Kalkadoon woman, Law graduate and Human Rights teacher. Her areas of work include legal guidelines, constitutional law, tort law, criminal law, and workplace law. In her first work experiences, she was a liaison officer between the community and the Queensland Legal Aid Office, working for seven years with indigenous peoples and crime victims. She has also held workshops on human rights and legal information and participated in the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. Currently, in addition to running her own human rights consulting firm, she belongs to the Australian Indigenous Peoples Group, is a professor of law at the Koorie Institute of Education at Deakin University, and our treasurer.
