Richa Pradha
Richa is an Indigenous Newar Woman from Nepal. For the past ten years, she has been working on environmental issues, climate change and gender through the Indigenous Women's movement in Asia. Assuming different roles and responsibilities, she has contributed to the consolidation of this movement.
Prior to joining FIMI, Richa served in the regional organization Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact and the Asian Indigenous Women's Network. There, she was involved in advocating for the individual and collective rights of Indigenous Women through project coordination, grant making and advocacy.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management from Pokhara University (Nepal) and a gold medal in the Master's degree in Watershed Management from Tribhuvan University. She has also published articles related to climate change and gender.
Richa is keen to highlight the impacts of climate change on indigenous communities and cross-sectoral groups through research and advocacy. Besides work, she enjoys travelling and trying new recipes.
