MEMORY OF FIMI’S 25 ANNIVERSSARY

From June 19 to 21, 2025, Lima embraced us as a territory of encounter, memory, and projection. Indigenous women leaders from the seven sociocultural regions of the world, together with strategic allies, gathered to celebrate 25 years of the International Indigenous Women’s Forum (FIMI).

More than a commemoration, it was an act of reaffirmation — of collective leadership, rights advocacy, and the alliances that sustain the global Indigenous Women’s Movement.

Under our motto “Weaving Together for Our Rights,” we remembered that every thread is resistance, every stitch is life, and every weave is a living promise toward a future where our voices are heard and decisive.
